NEW ORDERING process FOR UNIFORMS:

New to Fall 2022 and Spring 2023, all uniforms will be ordered by members online.

The initial store closes on 8/5

All orders before 8/5 will not be assessed a shipping fee and your order will be delivered to the club office for distribution.

The next ordering window will stay open for at least the first month of the season, however, all orders placed after 8/5 will be shipped directly to you, and shipping charges will apply.

Any orders placed after 8/20 cannot be guaranteed to arrive before 9/10 (first weekend of recreational play).

If your team typically orders their own socks (or your players prefer navy socks from Academy), please know that you are not required to purchase the socks that are offered on the site.

All players moving from 8U to 9U will need new jerseys (both the white and navy - home and away jerseys) and shorts. The shorts are the same for all age groups. Otherwise, you only need a new kit if your kit from last year doesn't fit your player any longer. The hoodie and practice shirt is NOT required. They are offered as optional spirit wear.

ON THE ORDERING PAGE, MAKE SURE YOU CLICK THE RIGHT LINK:

One is for players born 2015-2018 - reversible jersey kit 5U-8U

All teams within the recreational league are coached by volunteer coaches. All coaches set their own practice schedule. HTSA recommends two practices per week. For players born 2017-2018, HTSA recommends that practices last no longer than 45 minutes. For players born 2015-2014, HTSA recommends practices of one hour/practice. For players born 2004-2013, practices can run from 1 hour to 1 1/2 hour.

For teams in the 5U/6U and 7U/8U divisions (players born 2015-2018), HTSA makes a schedule for the season. All games will be scheduled at either the Lakes, Bayou Country Sports Park or the Southland Mall Complex. The majority of all games are scheduled for Saturday mornings.

For teams in the  9U/10U division (2013-2014), HTSA will provide a game schedule against HTSA teams and will try to also schedule games against teams from Thibodaux, Lafourche and St. Charles. All home games will be played at either the Lakes, Bayou Country Sports Park, or the Southland Mall Complex.

The majority of all games are scheduled for Saturday mornings.

The goal is to have 8 games per team per season.

For teams in the 11U and older divisions (2004-2012), teams can schedule friendly matches on their own. HTSA will provide a contact list of coaches for teams from the surrounding areas.

HTSA needs coaches for teams to be formed. Please consider volunteering to coach a team. You will be able to select this during the registration process. All volunteer coaches will receive a refund of their player's registration fees, all volunteer coaches will receive weekly training sessions from our DOC, Matt Ferguson, to help layout practice sessions for each week and all volunteer coaches can request help from one of our staff coaches with their training sessions by contacting Matt Ferguson at mferguson@houmasoccer.com.

Please contact us if you have any questions about our recreational league.
